Bridgewater Canal

Every bridge on this canal has a crane next to it so that the stop planks can be put in easily to dewater a section.

 

There is still a small amount of carrying here.

We crossed the Manchester Ship Canal on Barton Swing Aqueduct. This is the view of the Swing Road Bridge that we saw.
