foolishly hosted a Halloween Day.

so the grand gates (through which you are not allowed to go, but have to walk about a mile and a half uphill to the back door!!) saw sights they were never designed for!!

There are quite a few witches and wizards, ghouls and monsters here, but somehow they don't look that out of place!!
