Ice and Frost on the Middlewich Branch

Yes - that is ice ALL over the canal - though not too thick thank goodness.

So I shot out first thing (well about 8 o'clock) to take pretty, frosty shots. Some of you may well recognise your Christmas card pictures here!!

Then the mist came down. (Pictures above and below are taken from the same place and about half an hour apart)

The ropes were frozen.

We pushed our way through, breaking ice as we went. It was incredibly noisy inside - good job that school today was only making Christmas Cards!
