At the beginning there were bits of steel welded together
Then we had a floating hull - well we assume it floated, either that or the pumps were very good....
By this time it was starting to look more like a finished boat - but the inside wasn't!
Moving day - trying not to drop it onto the
low-loader! Note the 6 wheel cab - that was to cause trouble later. |
|
All tied down and ready to travel from Burton on Trent to Oxford. We raced the low-loader down to Oxford and were in time to see B-Hive ...
Arrive in the narrow streets of Jericho.
This is where we spent the next 2 hours, trying all possible ways of getting the low-loader to the boatyard. The 6 wheel cab was now a definite handicap.
Corners became very difficult.....
People became used to finding a boat outside their windows.....
But finally we managed to get there, and for the second time that day B-Hive flew.
And landed safely in the water at Oxford - and still floated! |
