+Vauses for the day Down to Newbury boatyard for pumpout, Vauses arrived, Down Greenham and back to moor at park for lunch. Assorted shopping, up Newbury lock, wound and back down to the park. % locks and 2 swing bridges = 1/2 mile moved!

  Downstream much quicker - Woolhampton jammed after we went through. Moored below Theale bridge. Rang Mark to arrange pickup in Reading Rang Bob S re battery charging - reckons batteries are tired

    All Brauntons ashore, Vauses aboard Seem to remember the van ran a big end, so had to be RAC'd home, and S had to driver the Vauses car!

Saturday 7/9/1991   Down through Sandford, moored for a rest. Off at 15:00. back to yard by 17:45

Tuesday 10/9/1991   Heavy fog to start. Cruised up river later, moored at Rose Revived.  
Wednesday 11/9/1991   Wound and back downstream to find a place to stop for the day. Hils rigged a washing line, Sam built a bonfire. Nial bathed in the sink. 1
